Cinnamon Roll Sourdough

Ingredients

  • 4 T Melted Butter

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 4 tsp cinnamon

  • 4 T flour

Plus your sourdough. I’m not here to tell you how to make sourdough, I hardly know myself how to yet, but this was my first inclusion and it worked wonders.

  1. Combine all the ingredients and pro-tip, pop them into the freezer for just a little time so the butter isn’t hot. It will help it not get so wet for shaping.

  2. Stretch the dough out into a rectangle and sprinkle about half the inclusion on, fold like a letter sprinkling on the rest of the inclusion on the folded parts

  3. Roll up dough pinching the sides and them proceeding to shape it like normal

  4. then pop it in a bowl with parchment paper (I do this so my cloths and baskets don’t get all cinnamon-y)

  5. Let rest for 30 minutes to an hour

  6. pre-heat your Dutch oven in the oven on 500°

  7. Once it’s ready score it and carefully put into Dutch oven and lower the oven temp to 450° with the lid on

  8. bake for 19 minutes

  9. remove the lid then continue to bake until your preferred browning

If you would like to see the process, where I didn’t freeze it watch here, though this was my first attempt it still came out delicious, I will add an updated video when I film it a little better but this on still gets the point across if you really want a jumbo cinnamon roll
